Gaza

On the street in LA a man was handing out papers about the wrong doing of Israel via the U.S. support in Gaza.

I agree, it is a slaughter. but it will not end until we give up the religion that devised us, or rather them. Well that was my reply but I don’t think it is true anymore.

Religion is a crutch for the slights and abuses that the people there have committed against each other. The small flame of anger i felt when i tried to convince him i didn’t want to read more and if they could give up their religion there might be a solution… made me realize people will always despise the other. We are wired this way, this is how life on the planet works, and for all our “smarts” we are competing with the entrenched 4 billion year old hardware.

so what to do? give up?

no i think the solution if for both sides to give, and to give more than they think they can, and to have faith, not in some god or religion, but in each other. Without that there is no hope of solutions that will last.

Relax

2 things.

1. Relax, seriously take a deep breath liberals. Yes we all despise what Bush has done in his 8 years in office but forcing Obama to tip his hand BEFORE he is president, while bush still has power to do something is STUPID. Take a deep breath, enjoy the weekend, and the ignauration. then on wed make some noise when Bush can't do anything about it.

2. I don't know about you but i was always the new kid in school and got picked on quite a bit, and even when parent or teachers etc would step in and curtail things it never made me feel better. Or if i defended my self and they would ignore it or worse punish me as well. UNFAIR either way the bully always seemed to get away with it. This is how i feel about Bush and Obama now. He has the comic book super hero morals of move forward and there are too many problems to to deal with to go back and make an accounting of how we got into them. The surge worked only because Bush had led us in to a total folly verging on criminal of invading Iraq in the first place. 5000, 100,000, 1 trillion, the numbers don't lie.

This is why i believe that while Obama moves forward and tries to fix the problems we have as a country in the immediate and the future that the Bureaucracy will find the time and energy to bring the full measure of the law against Bush. But for the good of the country it can't be Obama him self, that is a dangerous precedent to set
